The exhibit will walk you through the founding, formation, and growth of Prairie Village from 1966 to today. You'll discover newspaper storylines, institutional artifacts, and a timeline of posters from our founding Steam Threshing Jamboree.
Inside the museum, don't miss the Hall of Fame wall, honoring the service and selfless impact of a few uncommonly dedicated supporters. Only one such individual is chosen annually for induction, an honor first celebrated in 2022.

Terry Redlin's wife, Helene Langenfeld Redlin, was the granddaughter of the founder of Langenfeld's Ice Cream & Dairy. Langenfeld's Ice Cream operated in Watertown, South Dakota until the early 1960's. The Redlin Art Center proudly displays Langenfeld collectibles and vintage ice cream memorabilia. The majority of this special collection was a gift from Helene Redlin's cousin, Bob Wagner. it has recently been relocated from the Redlin Ampitheater to the Log Cabin within the Redlin Art Center. The collection includes vintage malt mixers, ice cream scoops of every shape and size, antique ice cream dishes, including a "penny lick", and much more!
The Foundation Plaza will be opening this summer in Downtown Watertown, with a ribbon cutting scheduled for May 25, 2023.

"Thomas and Friends: Explore the Rails" from the Minnesota Children's Museum in St. Paul, MN. Visitors step onto the Island of Sodor where they can climb aboard a large model of Thomas the tank engine, race trains along a giant track, work together to sort and load cargo and maintain engines. As children confront new challenges and test their abilities, the smiling faces of Thomas, Percy, Victor and others are there to offer encouragement and remind children how "really useful" they all are.
